Beckley MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) West Virginia. Got here Jan 2010, still here. My hubby is at the medical section. He is active duty.
This place is great if you love the outdoors, the mountains are beautiful. But it is NOT military friendly. People here have lived here all their lives. They have their network of friends and family so they are not real interested in making new friends, especially knowing you will be leaving. It is cold here about 9mths out of the year and snows A LOT. We had to purchase a snowblower and AWD vehicles. Can?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t wait to leave!
